- Carry out workshop tasks for all areas of business as instructed by Workshop Manager/ Team Leader.
- Carry out routine maintenance or repairs to various types of portable equipment following relevant procedures and completing the required paperwork and ETS updates.
- To support TPM/Manufacturing with new or standard machine builds.
- To manufacture replacement parts for FS machines.
- To manufacture jigs/fixtures, mount plates required for day to day process work.
- Be your Brother’s Keeper to any TEAM Technician or colleague to adhere to standards currently being used by Kendal Workshop.
- Monitor workshop stock levels of spares/materials and report when levels need replenishing.
- Advice any major repairs required to reinstate equipment to Technical Supervisor.
- Advise any loss of or culpable damage to equipment
- Inform Manager/ Technical Supervisor of any anticipated delays to achieving deadlines on any work being carried out.
- Inform Supervisor of equipment shortages which may affect day-to-day working.
- Ensure good housekeeping within the workshop at all times.
- Ensure work is carried out efficiently at all times.
- Operate within and fully support the ISO 9001 quality, H&S procedures
- Actively promote the Core Values within all work-based activities.
Principal Accountabilities

Skills And Knowledge Required
- Must be willing to complete a relevant engineering qualification to Level 2 apprenticeship.
- Must have an awareness of Health & Safety
- Enthusiastic & Willing to learn.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings & manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrate an interest in mechanical engineering
- Ability to use basic tools and workshop equipment.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately and be able to meet deadlines
Working Conditions
- Working from Kendal Workshop and any other Team workshops.
- Working Hours – 37.5hr Monday to Friday 8-30 – 16-30.
- Occasional site work for experience and development.
- Overtime may be required, due to work demands. Which may include weekend working
