Description
Principal Accountabilities:
- To carry out general workshop maintenance and new build of all Hot Tap and line stop equipment.
- Assembly and test of all associated pipe work products in line with workshop procedures.
- Carry out workshop tasks for all areas of business as instructed by Equipment Manager.
- Carry out routine maintenance / repairs following relevant procedures and completing required paperwork.
- Advise any major repairs required to reinstate equipment to Equipment Manager.
- Advise any loss of or culpable damage to equipment in order for appropriate action to be taken against those responsible.
- Ensure all machine repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner.
- Carry out workshop activities relating to Business Development projects.
- Inform Equipment manager of any anticipated delays to achieving deadlines on any work been carried out.
- Inform Equipment Manager of equipment shortages which may affect day to day working.
- Ensure good housekeeping within the workshop at all times.
- Ensure work is carried out efficiently at all times.
- Provide “call out” cover as per the agreed call out procedure.
- Operate within and fully support the ISO 9001 quality, H&S procedures
Skills and Knowledge required:
- Have a recognised Engineering apprenticeship / qualification
- Ability to use the range of workshop equipment.
- Ability to problem solve
- Good knowledge of hot tap/ line stop equipment in particular.
- Good knowledge of production pipe work fittings and Hot Tap machine assembly and test procedures
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings
- Full UK driving licence.
Working Conditions:
- Workshop based
- Occasional site work by agreement
- May be required to drive company or hired vehicles by agreement
