Responsibilities:

  • Cover and lead class teaching under supervision as directed, supporting a broad and balanced curriculum aimed at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.
  • Organise and manage teaching space and resources to maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of working with SEND children.
  • Knowledge and understanding of alternative communication systems and visual supports.
  • Knowledge and understanding of conditions linked to non‑verbal profiles, such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • Desirable: experience in using Makaton.
  • Previous experience of teaching SEND children.
