The key objective of the 3.5 Ton Delivery Driver candidate is to ensure that deliveries are received by the customers in a timely manner, in the interests of providing a fast and efficient service, building customer relationships, and enhancing the company’s reputation for first-class service. Candidates will also be required to assist with warehouse duties on an ad-hoc basis.
The key responsibilities of 3.5 Ton Drivers for this client are:
- Deliveries
- Daily vehicle checks and cleanliness of vehicles
- Dealing with trade counter customers
- Receiving goods inwards and picking and packing
- Loading and off-loading of vehicles including participation in the annual stock take
- Working within service level criteria
- Daily branch proposal and continuous stock taking as well as day-to-day administration
Additional Delivery Driver Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate and regular order handling to help achieve minimum time delay between receipt of order and despatch of goods, therefore maximising sales/stock turnover.
- Resolving customer queries/warranty/credits/complaints to the satisfaction of all parties.
- Identifying and working with third-party distribution providers, identifying potential problems to ensure the smooth flow of orders and customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining close contact with customer service staff, understanding their working practices and being proactive in preventing the occurrence of avoidable problems for our customers.
- Communicating enquiries to the External Sales Engineers to enable maximisation of potential sales.
- Providing cover within the branch/trade counter during unplanned absences.
- Ensuring that complaints, as they affect your direct responsibility, are promptly dealt with, in a professional manner.
- Being prepared to assist with out-of-hours services to customers when the need arises.
