Principal Accountabilities
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and advise areas for improvement and technical solutions
- Costing and pricing of jobs to customers, ensuring PO is in place, liaising with workshop regarding job planning and progress, manage ongoing job costs against the Norms.
- Engage and communicate with support functions i.e. Stores, Procurement, machine shop and other departments when required
- Ensure every job is completed to a high standard, obtaining regular feedback from customers to identify areas for improvement
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the business to ensure successful completion of jobs
- Manage the approval of variations and change orders in a timely manner
- Line management of Valve Technicians, including approving of working hours, demonstrating task instructions, measuring performance.
- Champion and drive technician adherence to safety and quality compliance paperwork and documentation
- Commitment to ‘safety at all times’
Skills And Knowledge Required
- Technical knowledge and expertise Control valves and Instruments, including diagnostics
- Full UK Driving License – this role does involve travelling to customer sites
- Awareness of and willingness to work towards Health and Safety and Q.A Standards
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment and meet deadlines
- Trouble shooting and ability to solve technical problems.

- Flexible to support other Team or customer locations when required
- Attend customer sites in sometimes difficult and arduous conditions
- Flexible to various working hours and TAR events to meet business demands
- Provide Management team with ideas to improve facility and operating workflows
