We are seeking a skilled Safety Valve Technician to join our team based at Wilton Works in Middlesbrough. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing safety and isolation valves, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair a wide range of safety valves and associated pressure safety devices, ensuring all are set to the required tolerances.
  • Maintain and repair pilot-operated relief valves.
  • Maintain and repair a variety of isolation valves, including gate valves, parallel slide valves, and ball valves as required.
  • Conduct pressure testing of valves and associated equipment.
  • Perform safety checks on tools and equipment in line with all safety protocols.
  • Enter and maintain accurate valve data in the Valve Management Database.
  • Actively promote and uphold the company's Core Values in all work-based activities.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, ONC in Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) training is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of valve types and pressure safety systems.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a safety-critical environment.
  • Excellent record-keeping and data entry skills.
