Team GB is one of Britain's most recognised and loved sporting brands. Operated by the British Olympic Association (BOA), Team GB represents Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the Olympic Summer and Winter Games, as well as at major multi-sport events including the European Games, Youth Olympic Games and European Youth Olympic Festivals. Team GB is the public-facing brand of the BOA and with over 4.3m followers across its channels has a highly engaged and passionate audience. The BOA is continuing on its exciting strategic path to continually refresh its brand, invest in data and generate new forms of content to grow our audiences and further engage the nation in support of our team, sports, athletes and National Governing Bodies.

Role focus

This role offers a unique opportunity to transform engagement into meaningful action, creating value for both fans and the organisation. Working with data, marketing and communications teams, this role will develop and optimise Team GB’s digital products for fans and stakeholders.

Key priorities

The Digital Product Executive will lead web and app activations around the Winter and Summer Olympic Games, combining hands-on product management with digital delivery, marketing and commercial awareness.

Internal collaboration

Key relationships include content, communications, design, commercial, legal and IT teams. The role will manage stakeholder expectations while helping improve Team GB’s digital product ecosystem. Team GB works with third-party suppliers to deliver digital products and fan engagement. This role will be the key supplier contact, ensuring clear communication and effective coordination, whilst being aware of the budget.

Candidate profile

As Los Angeles 2028 approaches, we are looking for a product-focused candidate with experience in customer engagement, marketing, high-traffic websites and apps, and a keen interest in emerging technologies. An interest in sport is desirable. This role does not have line management responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product strategy and roadmap: Play a role in developing the vision and the roadmap for Team GB’s digital products, including the Team GB website, the LA28 Games-focused mobile app and future internal digital products.
  • Games delivery: Implement Team GB’s digital delivery strategy for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, including Games-specific versions of the app and website.
  • Product operations: Manage the day-to-day health of digital products, maintaining a backlog of feature enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Stakeholder and supplier management: Point of contact for relationships with third-party suppliers and internal stakeholders, translating technical requirements into accessible language.
  • Content, SEO and UX: Improve search rankings, maintain SEO best practice, write marketing copy and collaborate with marketing and communications teams to curate and publish engaging web content.
  • Data, commercial and fan engagement: Work with the data team to support fan-data growth, enrichment and analytics reporting; support commercial activations across digital products, including partner activity and the Team GB Official Store; and assist with the creation and implementation of a fan engagement strategy.

Essential skills

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Excellent stakeholder management, both internal and external
  • Experience in working on high-traffic digital products, ideally with an ecommerce element
  • Considerable experience in content management, SEO, analytics reporting (e.g. GA4, GSC), QA, app testing
  • Experience in sprint-based agile project management
  • Understanding of fan engagement, customer lifecycle, and commercial sponsorship
  • Fluency in operating a CMS, preferably Contentful
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience of a start-to-finish digital product build and launch
  • Demonstrative experience of commercialisation of digital product
  • Comfortable with presenting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Curiosity around emerging technologies, coding, UX design etc.
  • Interest in taxonomies and digital asset management

  • Salary for the role is £37k plus performance related bonus
  • Hybrid working model - minimum 3 days per week office based - London, W1
  • 22 days of annual leave in increasing to 25 days after two years in the role
