Senior Fire Engineer
We're working with a growing engineering consultancy looking to appoint an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to help deliver a wide range of residential, commercial and complex building projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working closely with clients and playing a key role in shaping fire safety strategies for a diverse portfolio of projects.
You'll be responsible for developing fire engineering strategies, advising project teams on compliance requirements and supporting projects from design through to completion. The role will involve working closely with architects, developers, contractors and regulatory bodies to deliver practical, innovative and compliant fire safety solutions.
We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment and a strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation, including Approved Document B, the Building Safety Act and Higher-Risk Buildings. Experience with fire modelling, smoke analysis and performance-based fire engineering would be highly beneficial.
You'll be involved in a variety of project work including fire strategy development, regulatory approvals, site inspections, client meetings and supporting project delivery across multiple live schemes. The position offers a good balance of technical engineering, client engagement and project management responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience within a UK consultancy environment and either hold Chartered Engineer status or be working towards chartership through the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or CIBSE.
In return, you'll be joining a business with ambitious growth plans, a strong project pipeline and the opportunity to work on some genuinely interesting and challenging developments while progressing your career within a supportive team.
