Team Educate are recruiting for passionate teaching assistants who speak fluent Welsh or attended a Welsh-medium primary/secondary school. We work with a number of Welsh-medium primary schools in the South Wales area who are looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants to join their school and support children through the medium of Welsh. The schools we work with are eager to welcome proactive and friendly teaching assistants to the team on a full-time or part-time basis depending on what you’re looking for. You do not need exact classroom experience; however, working with children would be beneficial.

A desirable Welsh speaking teaching assistant must have:

  • Experience working with children
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Empathetic and nurturing characteristics

The Welsh speaking teaching assistant role includes:

  • Supporting the class teacher with work set out for the day
  • Ensuring the classroom is tidy
  • Delivering activities to small groups of children
  • Offering support on a 1:1 basis

  • Developing literacy and numeracy skills through the medium of Welsh

Requirements for a Welsh speaking teaching assistant role:
