Team Healthcare is working closely with a service in the North Somerset region who are looking for Support Workers on a temp to perm contract.

The Role

Working in a residential home for children and young people aged between 8-18 who have various learning disabilities. The day-to-day role is to create a homely and supportive environment where the children can thrive and develop by supporting them with household tasks and all aspects of care.

Requirements:

  • 12 months experience in a similar setting
  • Co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families.
  • Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (preferred but not essential) would need to complete within first 2 years of role.
  • Driver's licence
  • Comfortable to lead shifts
