We are seeking passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students and assist teachers in delivering high-quality education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to facilitate a positive learning environment, offer individualized support to students, and contribute to the overall development of the school community. Key Responsibilities: * Assist the teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons. * Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN). * Support students\’ emotional and social development, including encouraging positive behavior and promoting inclusion. * Supervise students during classroom activities, playtime, and extracurricular activities. * Help students develop their literacy, numeracy, and other subject-specific skills. * Assist with classroom management and maintain an organized and safe learning environment. * Contribute to the development and delivery of student assessments. * Prepare teaching resources and learning materials as directed by the teacher. * Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, providing feedback on student progress where necessary. * Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications and Skills: * Relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification). * 1 year experience working in a classroom or similar educational setting (preferred but not essential). * Strong understanding of child development and behavior management techniques. * Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to different teaching styles. * Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents. * Passion for supporting students and helping them reach their potential. * A positive, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children. Desirable Skills: * Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN). * Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures. * First Aid certification (or willingness to undertake training). * Understanding of the local education system in Swindon. * Proficiency in ICT and the use of educational technology.
