At Team Educate we are recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant in the Cardiff area. You will be assisting the Teacher within a classroom environment of up to 30 learners.
This is a full-time position between 8:30-15:30, Monday to Friday to start in October 2025. As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will support the children and young people on both a 1:1 basis and in groups and support the Teacher with overall classroom support.
Duties of a Primary School teaching assistant:
* Support learners on a 1:1 basis within a classroom environment
* Identify and support learners who may need extra support both emotionally and academically
* Work alongside the teacher with organising resources and setting up the classroom ready for learners
Experience required of a Primary School Teaching Assistant:
* Relevant qualification to the role
* Experience within a classroom setting or working with children
* Good written and verbal communication and organisation skills
* Experience of working with children with SEN (beneficial but not essential)
The Role:
* Position: Primary School Teaching Assistant
* Duration: Full Time (Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30)
* Pay Rate: £100-£115 per day
* Start date: October 2025
The successful applicant will be required to have:
* A valid DBS certificate, or be willing to put an application through
* A right to work in the UK
* A passion for teaching and learning
* 2 years’ worth of contactable references
