Are you passionate about working with young people and vulnerable adults in a care setting? Do you have a considerate understanding and passion for caring for people and are looking to gain paid experience within this sector? At Team Healthcare we are working closely with care homes and nursing homes, who are looking for Healthcare Support Workers for full time, part time and flexible working shifts/hours. The work we have available can be flexible depending on your needs and requirements but have shifts ranging from 6-12 hours 7 days a week. We can offer competitive pay rates, tailoring work to your needs being able to offer weekday and weekend work including days, nights and sleep-ins. We also offer increased pay when working over bank holidays.
Duties of Healthcare Support Worker:
- Supporting young people and vulnerable adults within care.
- Assisting service users with personal care, safe lifting and moving, administering medication (if qualified), meal preparation and providing companionship.
- To ensure individuals maintain independence and dignity, while providing physical and emotional support.
Experience required of a Healthcare Support Worker:
- Relevant qualifications to the role.
- At least 12 months experience within a care home or nursing home setting in the UK.
- Good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for supporting young people and vulnerable adults.
The Role:
- Duration: Full Time, Part Time, Flexible.
- Pay Rate: Β£12.50 - Β£15.50 per hour.
- Start date: As soon as possible.
The successful applicant will be required to have:
- A valid DBS certificate, or be willing to put an application through.
- A right to work in the UK.
- 2 yearsβ worth of contactable references.
- Appropriate training or the ability to complete necessary training.
- 12 months experience within care.
