Are you an Autism support worker with a passion for helping children progress through their education? Are you driven to changing lives? Are you looking for a role that can provide flexible day-to-day or long-term 1:1 roles?
We are currently recruiting for one of our partner schools, an amazing Primary school that caters for children with Autism. The school supports children between the ages of 3-11 with a primary diagnosis of ASD. The role will include working through agency on a long-term basis - with the potential of a permanent contract at the end of the academic year (July 2026).
Duties of an Autism Support Worker:
- Support children in and out of the classroom on a 1:1 basis.
- Complete personal care for the children where necessary.
- Work towards children EHCP's.
- Work closely with the class teacher and other Autism Support Workers to ensure all tasks are completed throughout the day.
Experience required of an Autism Support Worker:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with children with additional needs.
- Knowledge of Autism and how it presents itself in children.
- Experience in sensory play and learning.
- Current DBS on the update service or willing to acquire one.
- Registered with the EWC.
The Role:
- Duration: Full time (Monday - Friday 8:30 - 3:30).
- Pay: £95 a day.
- Location: Cardiff.
