At Team Educate, we are working closely with a primary school in the Bristol area, who are looking to recruit a behaviour mentor to join their team to support a child on a 1:1 basis. You will be working alongside a class teacher within classes of up to 30 students. This is a full-time position between 8.30-15.30, Monday to Friday with an ideal start in February 2026.

As a 1:1 behaviour mentor, you will assist with lesson delivery where appropriate for your student and contribute positively to the overall management of the classroom. You will have support from the class teacher as well as the senior leadership team.

Duties of a Primary School Behaviour Mentor:
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis within the classroom environment.
  • Providing additional support to students who may be falling behind academically.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to collate resources for lessons and set up learning activities.
  • Supporting the class teacher with additional administration tasks to maintain efficiency in the classroom.
Experience required of a Primary School Behaviour Mentor:
  • Relevant qualifications to the role.
  • Experience within a classroom setting or in working with children.
  • Good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working with children with SEN (beneficial but not essential).

  • Duration: Full Time (Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30)
  • Pay Rate: £95-£115 per Day
  • Start date: April 2025

The successful applicant will be required to have:

  • A valid DBS certificate, or be willing to put an application through.
  • A right to work in the UK.
  • A passion for teaching and learning.
  • 2 years worth of contactable references.
