We are a healthcare provider that specialises in personalised care for people with brain injuries. We are looking for additional Support Workers in the Christchurch area. If you are reliable, empathetic, patient and have good communication skills we want to hear from you.
We have shifts available every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. The rate of pay ranges from £9.00 to £11.25 per hour. We also pay for your mileage (to, from and during shift), as well as any personal protection equipment you may need. Successful applicants will be eligible for a £250.00 joining bonus (terms and conditions apply).
We offer all our support workers a free enhanced DBS check, 25 days of paid annual holiday, and a pension scheme. You will have 24/7 contact with the office staff including managers and coordinators through our On-Call system, as well as regular supervisions and appraisals. We are a very receptive team with an open-door policy, and our aim is to ensure that you feel safe and happy doing your job. We will also provide you with extensive paid training, accredited Care Certificate, as well as specialist nurse led approach for clinical needs.
You will be working with a gentleman in his 40s who lives in the area of Christchurch. He is very independent and doesn't require support with aspects of care such as personal care or manual handling. Your main role will be helping him with his finances, budgeting and keeping him safe throughout his daily routine. He is a very active and engaged individual who likes doing a variety of things. He is also very keen on going to play golf so you can expect a variety of activities to take place whilst on shift.
The right candidate must be passionate and proactive to make a difference in this man's life, to encourage his development and see him grow to his full potential of independence. Due to his acquired brain injury, all successful candidates must be able to drive to assist him with transport.
