The Opportunity

We are recruiting a Remedial Works Sales Engineer for a well-established BMS and building controls business. This is a client-facing, technical sales role focused on pricing and delivering remedial and extra works identified through PPM reports. The role suits someone who understands BMS or electrical systems and enjoys combining technical knowledge with commercial awareness and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Extra Works / remedial actions generated from PPM reports
  • Produce accurate, competitive quotations in line with company pricing structures
  • Define clear scopes of work and ensure technical accuracy
  • Carry out site surveys where required
  • Proactively follow up quotations to maximise conversion
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing clients and new accounts
  • Identify commercially viable works and sales opportunities
  • Liaise with finance regarding credit checks, pro-forma and staged payments
  • Handover secured projects to delivery engineers with full documentation
  • Maintain accurate electronic job and sales records

Candidate Profile

  • Background in BMS, building controls, or electrical systems
  • Experience in a technical sales, estimating, or remedial works role
  • Commercially aware and confident discussing scope, pricing, and value
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple quotations
  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with sales and engineering teams
  • Competent with CRM systems, MS Office, and electronic job management
