The BMS Sales role is responsible for developing, promoting, and securing Building Automation System (BAS) orders within the Trane portfolio. The role involves close collaboration with Sales Engineers, Consulting Engineers, and End Users to grow BAS sales, deliver high-quality proposals, and position Trane’s global BAS solutions effectively in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for BAS orders from opportunity through to order placement.
  • Develop and grow BAS / BMS sales within the assigned territory.
  • Promote and sell Trane BAS/ BMS sales packages and global BAS portfolio.
  • Partner with Sales Engineers to win BAS opportunities.
  • Train and support Sales Engineers in selling BAS solutions.
  • Advocate BAS proposals internally with Sales Engineers and externally with customers.
  • Lead the preparation of BAS quotations and technical/commercial proposals.
  • Deliver customer-focused BAS Solutions that meet project and business needs.
  • Ensure proposals are competitive, accurate, and aligned with Trane standards.
  • Promote Trane BAS solutions to End Users, building owners, and operators.
  • Prescribe Trane global BAS offerings with Consulting Engineers.
  • Build strong relationships with Consulting Engineers to influence specifications.
  • Suggest solutions to improve quality, results, and efficiency of sales activities.
  • Propose adaptations to processes, tools, or approaches to achieve targeted objectives.

Skills & Experience (Desired)

  • Proven experience in BMS / BAS sales or related building technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Building Management Systems and smart building solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and sales teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Commercial awareness with a customer-focused mindset.
