BMS Panel Design Engineer (AutoCAD Electrical) – Surrey Are you ready to join a leading company in the Building & Energy Management Systems (BEMS) that leverages innovative technologies to deliver outstanding solutions for the built environment? The company are looking to take on a BMS Control Panel Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The BMS Panel Design Engineer position In this position, you will be a valuable addition to an existing panel design team to ensure production of accurate panel wiring diagrams and topologies based on information supplied by design managers, design engineers, engineering manager or technical director. Flexible role primarily based in Coulsdon with travel to projects offices in and around London. Main responsibilities * Working with the project managers, design manager/engineers and other departments to deliver individual projects. * Liaising with design managers/engineers on a continual basis to ensure that they are aware of project requirements * Provides technical and non-technical support to less experienced engineers within the business. * Understand the project hours budgeted for panel design and CAD. * Create accurate wiring diagrams suitable for panel workshop construction information. * Is conscious of design layout enabling minimal panel casing requirements and wiring. * Ensure drawings are completed in time to meet deadlines for client approval and panel manufacture. * Ensure that all drawings created are checked by either a design manager, engineering manager or technical director prior to client issue or manufacture. * Ensure that drawings are updated to reflect any panel modifications made during factory testing prior to delivery. * Ensure that drawings are updated in a timely manner to reflect any on site panel modifications made during installation and/or commissioning. * Create Bills of Materials for the procurement manager as and when required. * Work on multiple projects in parallel as and when necessary. * Ensure AutoCAD database is maintained and updated as necessary Skills required * Proven track record in delivering BMS design on large construction projects * Detailed working knowledge and experience of working with AutoCAD Electrical * Technical design experience within the construction / panel building industry * Relevant technical accreditations and qualifications. * Sound working knowledge of building services mechanical and electrical systems. * Sound working knowledge of one or more building management systems (preferably but not limited to Trend, Distech, Tridium & Delta). * Sound working knowledge of office tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Sharepoint etc. * Experience with IT Network Schematics and Topologies would be an added advantage * Experience with Building Information Modelling Technologies such as Revit and BIM 360 would be an added advantage Salary and Benefits Package Impressive salary, dependent on experience Company pension 25 days holiday plus 8 statutory days Person Profile As a BMS Control Panel Design Engineer, you will be hardworking and diligent with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
