team.blue is building a Marketing Centre of Excellence to scale what works, eliminate duplication, and accelerate performance across 60+ brands in 22+ markets. The Group Performance Marketing Lead is a critical leadership role within the CoE, owning execution excellence of our performance engine (Paid Media, SEO/GEO, CRO, and Affiliate/Reseller) across the Group. This role requires hands-on execution at scale, a player-coach leadership style, and experience managing a diverse team supporting multiple regions and brands and setting the standard for what great performance marketing looks like across team.blue. You will report to the Group Director of Marketing and work in close partnership with Heads of Marketing and Commercial Directors, as well as Team Leads for Activation, Intelligence, and Operations.
This is a player-coach role leading a team of 25+, including six direct reports, while remaining actively involved in execution.
Responsibilities- Lead group-wide performance marketing delivery across Paid Media, SEO/GEO, CRO, and Affiliate channels, ensuring campaigns are designed for measurable acquisition impact (CAC, ROAS, new customer volume).
- Develop and implement execution standards, tooling, and frameworks that enable consistency and quality across brands and markets.
- Maintain clear visibility across the portfolio, surfacing performance gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities through real-time dashboards and sprint reviews.
- Ensure budget management and channel allocation decisions are grounded in data and aligned to performance goals.
- Champion a rigorous experimentation culture by designing rapid tests, reviewing outcomes, and scaling what works across brands.
- Identify emerging channels, formats, and technologies; evaluate fit for the group and drive controlled adoption.
- Build repeatable experimentation frameworks that specialists across the team can operate independently.
- Lead and develop a team of performance marketing specialists (Paid Media, SEO/GEO, CRO, Affiliate) across regional pods.
- Provide clear performance direction through agile sprint planning, bi-weekly reviews, and quarterly planning cycles.
- Actively mentor Senior and Mid Specialists; build structured development paths that create depth and internal capability.
- Foster cross-regional knowledge sharing - ensuring wins, learnings, and best practices move quickly across the team rather than staying siloed.
- 10+ years in performance marketing, with 3+ years leading multi-brand or multi-market teams.
- Hands-on expertise across Paid Media (Search, Social, Programmatic), SEO/GEO, CRO, and Affiliate with direct execution experience in at least two areas.
- Proven track record managing significant budgets (€10M+) and complex multi-channel acquisition programmes.
- Experience operating in agile delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban) is a plus.
- Strong analytical rigour – comfortable with attribution models, BI dashboards, and using data to make and defend decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale testing cultures: you know how to design a good experiment, read results accurately, and move fast on findings.
- Effective at managing upward and laterally in matrix organisations – you can influence without authority and resolve competing priorities without escalating everything.
- Skilled at developing specialists: you coach for long-term growth, not just task completion.
- Execution-first mindset – you stay close to the work and hold high standards for quality and pace.
- Comfortable with ambiguity during a period of organisational change; you build clarity rather than wait for it.
- Collaborative and transparent – you share context freely, flag issues early, and build trust through follow-through.
- Tech-Stack governance – standardising and reducing fragmentation of the marketing tech stack across the group to drive cost efficiencies.
- Fluent in English and at least one additional European language.
At any stage, please be prepared to provide proof of eligibility to work in the country you are applying for. We are unable to support relocation packages or sponsorship visas.
