As the company’s first developer recruit you will play an exciting role both in fleshing out the groundwork for Tealbury’s products and developing the company culture and development procedures.
You will be expected to:
- Flesh out the groundwork for the RESTful web service which will power the company’s web and mobile applications
- Work to a spec and deadline on current and proposed features as well as work constructively to create innovative solutions to problems
- Fully document development activities and provide progress reports and measurable results
- Develop unit tests and adhere to the principles of test-driven development
- Work with the front-end web and mobile application developers to create seamless product experiences
Desired skills:
- Proven experience with mission-critical PHP applications
- Experience working with Zend Framework and the Zend application stack
- Excellent organisational and documentation skills
- Working knowledge of both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database systems
- Working knowledge of source control systems (GitHub)
- Standards-compliant and best practices development mindset
- Ability to formulate and adhere to procedures which can later be expanded to suit a team environment
