About The Opportunity
Following our landmark merger with Outbrain in February 2025, Teads has solidified its position as the global leader in full-funnel, omnichannel advertising. We don’t just deliver ads; we deliver measurable business outcomes across the open web. The Strategic Accounts team is the growth engine of the new Teads and comprised of experienced, strategic salespeople. Within that team, the Travel vertical is one of our most established and high-performing sectors. We are seeking a strategic, high-energy Global Industry Director to lead this category. You will manage a select portfolio of the world’s most iconic travel brands, acting as both a lead negotiator and a visionary subject matter expert who scales our Travel strategy globally and delivers consistent YoY growth, meeting sales targets.
What will you do?
As the Global Industry Director, your role is divided into three core pillars: Global Account Growth, Industry Thought Leadership, and Internal Empowerment.
- Strategic Growth & Partnership
- Overall responsibility for delivery of global travel business numbers.
- Lead the Portfolio: Own and expand collaborative partnerships with a select group of the world’s leading global Travel brands, maximising existing JBP’s and developing new ones too.
- Outcome-Based Selling: Deliver consultative, full-funnel solutions (Video, Display, Performance, and CTV) that align with client KPIs.
- The "Top-of-Mind" Strategy: Ensure Teads is a non-negotiable component of our clients' annual media plans by fostering deep relationships across C-suite, Brand, and Performance marketing teams.
- Global Industry Leadership
- Vertical Vision: Evolve the Teads Travel growth strategy, identifying emerging trends (e.g., sustainable travel, AI-driven booking) to keep our solutions ahead of the curve.
- Internal Voice: Act as the Industry Expert for our local sales teams worldwide, upskilling them on Travel-specific nuances, develop 'best in class' travel narrative by client, sharing best practice and helping them win regional business. You will work closely with Creative, Data, insight and marketing teams.
- External Voice: Represent Teads at industry conferences and events, producing thought leadership that defines the future of travel advertising.
- Collaborative Execution
- Agency Alignment: Work in partnership with our Agency Sales teams to navigate complex, high-level media agency relationships across your brand portfolio. Being a team-player is paramount.
- Product Feedback Loop: Partner with our Product and Creative teams to ensure our "advertiser-first" strategy is reflected in our tech evolution.
What will you bring to the team?
Your skills and experiences:
- "Self-Starter" who thrives in a high-growth, innovative environment.
- Blend of travel industry-specific wisdom and AdTech understanding.
- Ability to work across different timezones and deliver flexibility.
- Ability to build relationships with top marketing/media decision makers.
- Proven collaborative experience to build long-term sustainable partnership growth (ideally in global/regional as well as local market roles).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower colleagues to achieve objectives with a team approach.
- Proven ability to deliver results.
You connect with our values:
- Relentless Customer Focus: You put customers at the heart of everything, building strong relationships, understanding customers needs, and making decisions that keep their perspective front and center.
- Act Today, Not Tomorrow: You make smart decisions quickly, prioritize action over perfection, and keep things moving forward, even when things aren’t 100% clear.
- Obsess About Outcomes: You’re outcome-driven, take ownership of your results, and work through challenges to deliver what really matters.
- Evolve Through Change: You’re adaptable, curious, and see change as a chance to learn and improve. You evolve your skills to keep up and push ahead.
- Human-driven, Powered by AI: While we use AI to drive performance, it’s our people who make the real difference. You bring empathy, collaboration, and a love of learning to everything you do.
