We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in the Stroud area from January. This is a full-time role working with a child who has a range of additional needs, including ADHD, and SEMH.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with additional needs
  • Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom management
  • Helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Managing challenging behaviour calmly and professionally
  • Supporting students' emotional and social development

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an SEN or mainstream school environment
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
