Responsibilities
- Deliver creative and engaging Food Preparation & Nutrition lessons.
- Teach across the secondary age range, including GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition.
- Inspire students to develop their practical skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for food and nutrition.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs and abilities of individual students.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the DT department and wider school.
- Maintain strong classroom management and a safe, purposeful learning environment.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Food Preparation & Nutrition / Food Technology.
- Ability to teach to GCSE level.
- A genuine passion for Food, Nutrition and Design & Technology.
- Strong communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
- A positive and adaptable approach to teaching.
