HR Generalist - Independent School, Gloucestershire, £30,000 - £45,000 Temp to perm
We are working with a well-regarded independent school in Gloucestershire who are looking to appoint an HR Generalist to join their team. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across all areas of HR, supporting both teaching and support staff. It would suit someone looking to develop their HR career within a friendly and values-driven education environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries
- Supporting employee relations matters including absence, disciplinary and grievance cases
- Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Ensuring safeguarding compliance, including DBS checks and the Single Central Record
- Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting HR systems
- Assisting with payroll processes and liaising with finance
- Supporting performance management and staff development processes
- Helping to maintain and update HR policies in line with current legislation
About You
- Previous experience in a HR Generalist or HR support role
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards)
- Good understanding of UK employment law
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and approachable attitude
- Experience within education or an independent school
- Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance requirements
