We’re currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Tewkesbury from January. This is a full-time role working with children who have a range of additional needs which you will need to demonstrate experience of in a similar setting.
Responsibilities
- Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with additional needs
- Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom management
- Helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Managing challenging behaviour calmly and professionally
- Supporting student's emotional and social development
Requirements
- Experience working in an SEN or mainstream school environment
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
