A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Redbridge is seeking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Speech and Language Therapist to join their team on a full-time, ongoing basis, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, making a real difference to students across all year groups.
The Role:
- Deliver targeted speech and language support to students across KS3–KS5
- Work on both a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
- Assess, plan and implement effective intervention strategies
- Support students with a range of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and wider SEND
- Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCo and wider support teams
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a relevant degree (essential)
- Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting
- Have a strong understanding of SEND, particularly speech and language needs
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills
- Be patient, adaptable and committed to supporting student progress
- Have a valid Fully Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to apply for one)
