Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4, and where possible, at A‑level.
- Design and deliver the English curriculum (Literature, Language and Film Studies) in line with Eduqas GCSE and AQA/EDUQAS A‑level specifications.
- Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and use data to inform instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, development and cohesive teaching strategies.
- Contribute positively to extracurricular and enrichment activities such as reading programmes, trips and literary events.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or equivalent in English or a closely related subject (essential).
- Qualified Teacher Status (secondary phase) (essential).
- Further degree or related qualification (desirable).
- Successful delivery of English at KS3 and KS4 (essential).
- Ability to teach English at Advanced Level (desirable).
- Experience of supporting students in extended writing and analytical skills (essential).
- Experience of contributing to extracurricular or enrichment opportunities such as reading programmes, trips or literary activities (desirable).
