What skills and experience we\\\’re looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Archbishop Holgate’s for an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 SEN support for a student joining the school’s 6th Form this September.

This role involves supporting the student access their learning in the classroom as well as supporting them with physical support as needed.

Responsibilities / What the ideal candidate will do

  • Provide 1:1 SEN support for a student in the 6th Form
  • Support the student in accessing learning in the classroom
  • Provide physical support as needed
  • Be flexible and proactive in responding to the student\\\’s needs
  • Work with outside agencies and communicate with parents
  • Contribute to the student\\\’s overall progress and well-being

Ideal candidate requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in working with children, ideally with experience of those with additional needs
  • High expectations of all children
  • Willingness to undertake relevant CPD to support the child
