What skills and experience we\’re looking for
The children, staff and Governors of Cambridge Road School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to be part of our team. Cambridge Road is a mainstream school but experience working with children with additional learning needs would be an advantage. The role will involve supporting children to become independent and co‑operative learners, and identifying and removing barriers to students’ learning. The post‑holder will need to hold a relevant Teaching Assistant NVQ Level 3 qualification achieved through a recognised training provider. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced and skilled team who work tirelessly to unlock potential for pupils with social, emotional and mental health issues. They will be a confident Teaching Assistant whose character and skills fit into our motivated team and who also has a commitment to high standards. The role may also include helping the class teacher in planning and delivering sessions as well as carrying out small group and one‑to‑one sessions of support outside of class with the aim of raising attainment, ensuring children achieve their potential and supporting social and emotional growth.
