Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day pastoral support for students, particularly those who are vulnerable or require targeted intervention.
- Support attendance processes and maintain accurate safeguarding and welfare records.
- Work closely with Heads of Year, the Senior Leadership Team and external agencies.
- Liaise with families as required.
- Build trusting relationships with young people, manage challenging situations professionally and work flexibly as part of a busy pastoral team.
- Act in line with the school’s safeguarding procedures and Catholic ethos.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Calm, compassionate, resilient and able to build trusting relationships with young people.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage challenging situations.
- Experience in student welfare and behaviour support (preferred).
- Knowledge of safeguarding and welfare procedures and compliance with the school’s Catholic ethos.
