Main responsibilities will be:
- Delivery of creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
- Provision of full care for the children including safe collection from classrooms
- Monitoring and assisting children with snacks and food service
- Assistance in the preparation of appropriate play activities
- Setting out, clearing away and maintaining materials and equipment required by the children
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
- Administering basic first aid as appropriate
- Encouraging support and involvement in play activities
- Maintaining close liaison with parents and other extended services staff
- Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework
- Attending relevant meetings as required
- Participating in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
- Any other related duties and responsibilities that may arise but do not change the character of the post
- Can be flexible if cover for sickness is required
