We are looking for Class Teachers to join an exciting and innovative school, making a real difference to the lives of young people with complex needs and autism, both within the Special School and in Mainstream specialist provisions.
Responsibilities
- Work creatively and collaboratively, making the most of the extensive resources and expert support.
- Plan and deliver engaging learning on a daily basis, developing innovative methods that stimulate curiosity and excitement.
- Create a nurturing learning environment tailored to each individual’s needs, prioritising personal development and wellbeing alongside the academic curriculum.
- Embed communication and interaction opportunities so students can express their needs, interact with others, make choices and contribute to the world around them.
- Build emotional regulation and resilience to promote positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Manage a team of staff and collaborate with a range of professionals to deliver meaningful learning opportunities.
- Build caring relationships, providing a friendly and warm welcome to parents, governors and the wider community.
Qualifications & Experience
- Knowledge and expertise in SEND; experience working in a special school is not essential but is desirable.
- Primary school experience is helpful for both Primary and Secondary roles.
