We are looking to recruit a hard‑working and dedicated school cleaner with high standards to work in our friendly school. The position is part of a team and includes a range of cleaning duties throughout the school to keep the learning environment clean and safe.
Working Hours: Between 10 and 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Work weeks: 41 weeks per year (term time plus two weeks in school holidays). Hours are between 4 pm and 8 pm, depending on the total hours worked and discussed at the interview, over five evenings each week.
Pay: NJC3, £12.85 per hour (paid for 47.15 weeks including holiday pay).
Responsibilities:
- General cleaning of classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, stairwells, and specialist teaching rooms.
- Mopping, dusting, sanitising, hoovering, and deep cleaning during holidays.
- Other tasks as required to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Requirements:
- Hard‑working and dedicated with a high standard of cleaning.
- Ability to work evenings and during school holidays.
- Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) is required for all successful applicants.
