Further details about the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and exceptional teacher to join us in supporting our amazing post‑16 learners. If you are seeking a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity. Ravenswood School is an all‑age Special School for children/young people with complex needs and SLD; many of our pupils have autism, ADHD or attachment disorder. In June 2023, Ofsted confirmed that Ravenswood continues to be a good school, one that is inclusive and has high aspirations for all its pupils. Our Post 16 department supports around 25–30 learners, and our aim is for every young person to leave Ravenswood with the skills they need to stay safe, be happy and feel prepared for adulthood. Their next steps may include college, employment, independent living or developing their personal interests and hobbies. In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring that the curriculum and day‑to‑day learning experiences meet pupils’ needs. You will help provide meaningful opportunities that enable pupils to develop essential life skills and learn how to apply them confidently as they work towards their goals.
Commitment to safeguarding:
We are committed to safeguarding children. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and Social Media checks. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required.
