We are seeking to appoint TWO enthusiastic, positive and flexible SEND Teaching Assistants to join the team at our vibrant village school in September 2026.

Qualifications

  • GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in both English and Maths
  • Experience working with children in the primary age range, or experience working with people with additional needs (any age group)
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • A professional approach and high personal standards
  • A practical understanding of difficulties associated with Communication and Interaction Needs (including Autism) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (including ADHD) would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Support several children individually, in small groups and in the classroom, helping them transition from intervention groups into the mainstream curriculum
  • Participate fully in the life of the school, including break duty cover, outdoor learning and lunchtime supervision
  • Work with children linked to named children under the role; the position will cease should the children leave the school, with the possibility of extension beyond the fixed‑term period

Safeguarding and Checks

  • All successful applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check as part of safer recruitment practice
  • Proof of right to work in the UK is required
