What skills and experience we\’re looking for
Main duties and responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of pupils throughout themidday break, i.e. from the end of morning school until the start of theafternoon session
  • Oversee all areas where pupils gather during thelunch break, these may include dining areas, cloakrooms, classrooms, playingfield etc, as appropriate
  • Maintain an acceptable standard of conduct andsafety as laid down in the school policies, by dealing with any problem, minorinjuries and reporting breaches of discipline to an appropriate member of staff
  • Assist with the induction training of any newmidday supervisory assistants or supply assistants when necessary
  • Setting up tables and chairs and clearing these at the end of lunch.
  • Maintain an acceptable standard of conduct and safety as laid down in the school policies, by dealing with any problem and reporting serious incidents to the Headteacher.
  • Any other related duties as directed by the Headteacher.
  • The duties of the post could varyfrom time to time resulting from new legislation or policy changes and in thiscase, appropriate training may be given to enable the post-holder to undertakethis new/varied work.
