We are now recruiting for the post of Curriculum, Teaching and Achievement Advisor – History (Secondary) to start in September 2026. The successful candidate will be the lead professional in this curriculum area across the Trust’s secondary academies in Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, providing strategic support to subject and senior leaders. The role will focus on curriculum development and innovation in line with the best evidence‑based research, our commitment to IB programmes and the Ofsted Framework.
You will report directly to a member of the Trust Executive and will be part of a team of 17 Curriculum, Teaching and Achievement Advisors, each leading on a different curriculum area. You will be based at our Strood Head Office, but will spend a good deal of time visiting our academies to provide the strategic support necessary to raise standards.
Key responsibilities will focus on curriculum design, improving the quality of teaching and securing the best outcomes for pupils. We anticipate that most candidates will have aspirations for further career progression beyond the Curriculum, Teaching and Achievement Advisor position into senior leadership positions in one of our academies. We are extremely well‑placed to assist you in achieving your ambitions based on excellent performance.
