Specific Responsibilities:
- Professional expectations: Lead by example, model high standards, set high expectations for student behaviour, create a purposeful learning environment, and work collaboratively to raise standards.
- Teaching and Learning: Be accountable to the Curriculum Leader, plan work following the National Curriculum, employ appropriate lesson structures, support underperforming students, monitor attainment, provide timely feedback, adapt strategies, produce robust reports to parents, keep up to date with national developments, and contribute to CPD.
- The Curriculum Area: Contribute to curriculum and schemes of work, maintain vibrant classroom displays, care for resources, liaise with parents, organise visits and excursions, and support the Curriculum Leader as required.
- The School: Adhere to all school policies, treat community members with courtesy and respect, publicise student and staff achievements, and contribute to enrichment opportunities.
- Health and Safety: Register all classes and clubs, comply with safety rules, report breaches, and ensure children’s safety and wellbeing.
- Additional responsibilities: Act as a Tutor with your group, attend events as directed, and perform other duties reasonably required.
- Safeguarding: Be aware of safeguarding policies and play an active part in 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'.
