Maidstone Grammar School for Girls is an outstanding selective school with an excellent Science Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and capable person to join our innovative team and coordinate the use and maintenance of practical resources, providing expert assistance for the Biology curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the use and maintenance of practical resources across the Science Department.
  • Provide expert assistance and support for the Biology curriculum, especially for practical work.
  • Lead the provision of materials for biology lessons and support safe and efficient maintenance of the wider department.
  • Implement and uphold the school's policies, including Safeguarding, Child Protection, Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous laboratory experience and a commitment to the ethos of the school.
  • Ability to implement the school's policies and procedures.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience working with students at GCSE and A Level stages (preferred).

Working Pattern and Remuneration

The postholder will work 39 weeks and 2 days per year. The salary includes payment in respect of pro‑rata entitlement to Annual Leave, Bank Holidays and the KCC concessionary day.
