We are seeking to appoint a talented and motivated Head of Maths to lead our high-performing department at Avanti Fields School. You will join a strong and committed team that is ready to take pupil achievement to the next level, and you will play a key role in bringing colleagues together to further strengthen teaching, learning and outcomes. What will you do?
- Provide strategic leadership of Maths, implementing the school’s vision and Avanti ethos while developing an ambitious, inclusive curriculum and ensuring consistently high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Lead and support the Maths team through effective line management, coaching and professional development, ensuring strong performance, clear accountability and excellent classroom practice across all key stages.
- Monitor pupil progress, attainment and outcomes through robust assessment, tracking and intervention systems, aiming for exceptional achievement and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, colleagues, governors and external partners, contributing positively to the wider life, values and community engagement of the school.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of students, ensuring compliance with school policies and protocols.

What the school offers its staff
Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.
