To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Head Teacher. To be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach Good or better lessons, actively engage in professional development and ensure pupils make good progress. To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of classes and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities. To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education and ethos as a Christian school. Overall the job holder must make the education of their pupils their first concern, and is accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct. S/he must act with honesty and integrity; have strong subject knowledge, keep his/her knowledge and skills as a teacher up-to-date and be self-critical; forge positive professional relationships; and work with parents in the best interests of pupils.

We are looking for a teacher who is an outstanding communicator and has the ability to meet deadlines/manage time and holds relevant experience of teaching Science (specialism in Biology desirable) in a comprehensive school (as a teacher or student teacher).
