For September 2026 we are looking to appoint an inspirational, resourceful and academically qualified full-time science teacher to join our successful and established science department. Ideally, we are looking for a chemistry specialist but all specialisms will be considered. Applicants will be expected to teach all science at KS3 and their specialism at KS4. Teaching at KS5 would be preferable but not essential.

Applications from ECTs are particularly welcome, with a full support package available.

South Wolds is a high attaining, semi-rural popular school located in the village of Keyworth in Nottinghamshire which is only 6 miles from West Bridgford. We are also a founding partner of the East Midlands Education Trust, committed to providing a first-class education for all of our students.

On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post. They will also be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding checks will be undertaken during the recruitment process and this may include online searches.
