Further details about the role

Our school caters for 305 pupils aged 7 -19 years with a wide range of special educational needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Development Delay and Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities. The School offers a comprehensive CPD programme and has been awarded the Investors in People Platinum Award. The School occupies state‑of‑the‑art facilities on a £42 million Rowley Learning Campus. The School is committed to equal opportunities and has a proactive, supportive Governing Board and strong partnerships with parents/carers, the Local Authority and the local community. Our School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups including children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children’s Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children you are breaking the law if you apply for this post. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

Working Hours
