Further details about the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths, to share their knowledge and love of their subject in our vibrant, caring and diverse community, where a ‘Love of Learning’ is evident in every student interaction. Students at Tiffin Girls’ are highly motivated, kind and respectful, and greatly value the contribution maths brings to their education; over 150 are taking it in Year 12 and 130 in Year 13, including over 50 taking Further Maths in both years. We provide a rigorous and supportive education and a broad range of co-curricular maths related opportunities to extend student learning, including undertaking the challenge of competitions at each key stage. In 2025, 97% of students achieved grades 9-7 at GCSE and 93% of students achieved A*-B at A level and 95% A*-B in A Level Further Mathematics. The Department provides both Maths and Further Maths at A Level and many of our students go on to study maths related subjects, Sciences and medicine at leading universities. Early career teachers are very welcome to apply, as we support the development of new teachers through an excellent ECT training programme and the Maths department is very supportive in its approach to subject specific development.
