A unique and exciting mid-year opportunity has arisen. The Governors of our school are seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This varied role will involve supporting teaching and learning within the classroom for part of the day, alongside leading and delivering an engaging Forest School curriculum throughout the week, making full use of our excellent outdoor facilities.

Stradbroke is a vibrant and inclusive learning community of approximately 500 pupils. This includes a large nursery and an Integrated Resource Unit supporting children with complex SEND needs. Following our most recent inspection in summer 2022, the school continues to be judged as Good in all areas. We are now looking for an individual who can further enhance our provision and help us deliver exceptional learning experiences, particularly through our thriving Forest School programme.

We are seeking a committed and professional practitioner who:

  • Holds a recognised Forest School Leader qualification (essential)
  • Is passionate about delivering creative, innovative outdoor learning experiences
  • Can plan and deliver personalised, adaptive, and inclusive sessions for small groups of pupils
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
  • Has an awareness of SEND strategies and a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable children (desirable)
  • Is resilient, enthusiastic, and motivated to make a real difference to the lives of pupils, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds
