We are looking to appoint an energetic and innovative Guidance Manager to lead our pupil support units, ‘The Hub’ and ‘The Lodge’. The Guidance Manager will play a central role in supporting pupils’ progress and wellbeing, serving as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the Guidance Support Units.
  • Provide leadership and direction for staff and staff training.
  • Act as the primary contact for pupils, parents, staff and external agencies.
  • Support students with re‑engagement, emotional support and literacy and numeracy development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other stakeholders to create a safe and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • Passion for supporting pupils to reach their potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Forward‑thinking, resilient and able to lead by example.
  • Proven literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to at least a GCSE grade in Maths and English).
  • Previous secondary school experience is beneficial but not essential.
