Our central Shared Services team plays a vital role in supporting the success of every school within the Greenshaw Learning Trust. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to join our Trust-wide team and contribute to our mission of delivering excellent, inclusive education.
About the Role:
As a Finance Manager, you will provide expert oversight of the day-to-day operational delivery of our finance function. This is a key role in ensuring our schools can focus on teaching and learning, supported by strong and effective financial management. We are recruiting at two levels:
- Level 1 – focused on core operational delivery
- Level 2 – requiring advanced technical accounting expertise and risk management proficiency
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a large finance team, including Senior Finance Officers, Finance Officers, and Finance Assistants
- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for schools and shared service departments
- Ensure robust financial controls across procurement, banking, and accounting processes
- Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT and DfE submissions
- Support team development through mentoring, coaching, and structured progression pathways
About You:
- Have experience in full-function accounting and audit management
- Hold (or be working towards) relevant qualifications:
- Level 1: AAT Level 4 (or equivalent)
- Level 2: CIMA, ACA, or equivalent
