Department:
The Technology Department includes Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles and Food Technology. It is a popular subject at Key Stage 3 and GCSE, with demand exceeding capacity. The department is well resourced with two workshops (one housing a laser cutter and a 3D printer), one textiles room, and a designated Food room. A full-time technician assists in the preparation for Food Technology lessons and supports students with SEND. The department is also supported by a Lead Practitioner within the Trust.

Bohunt Farnborough continues to achieve record-breaking outcomes, with GCSE results improving in 2025 and 2024 recognition as one of the top 5% most improved schools in the country. Ofsted pilot visit in July praised the rapid progress under a new framework. As part of the Bohunt Education Trust, the vision is to provide high expectations, an ethos of ‘enjoy, respect, achieve’, unparalleled opportunity and highly effective teaching to develop confident, compassionate, and capable students.
