Nanpean CP School is a small, friendly village school set in the heart of the Clay Country. We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and committed EYFS/Y1 Teacher to join our team and help ensure our youngest learners have the very best start to their education.

About the role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and wider staff team to uphold our values and deliver a high‑quality EYFS/Year One provision. You will create a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment that supports curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. The role includes:

  • Delivering high‑quality teaching in line with the EYFS Framework and National Curriculum
  • Designing a creative, engaging and child‑centred curriculum, both indoors and outdoors
  • Providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where all children feel valued
  • Observing, assessing and planning effectively to meet the individual needs of pupils
  • Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing, resilience and personal development
  • Developing positive partnerships with parents and carers
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistently strong practice

About You

Ideally you will have recent experience in EYFS or KS1 and will share our vision and values. You will also:

  • Have a child‑centred approach and a genuine passion for Early Years education
  • Can provide a creative, inclusive and appropriately challenging curriculum
  • Have high expectations for all children
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
  • Are reflective, flexible and committed to continuous improvement
